Feed the switch, dead-end the light.

You're on the ladder one time for 30 seconds.

Trade slang could have a thread all it's own.

If we are only looking to wire the house and never provide service,then there might be a savings in time and material to just feed ceiling boxes and drop all other outlets from it.I just hope nothing goes wrong under warranty for you.The one place that is almost always hard to get to is a bedroom fan or a chandelier.

Why's it hard to get to bedroom fans or chandeliers? You mean like harding than other lights? :confused:

Midget,

Think about how heavy and cumbersome ceiling fans and chandeliers are. You also have to take the blades and motor housing apart to take down a fan.

and those homeowners just love the boot print on the bed that is below the fan/light.
