I have heard a lot of debate on this issue, 90% of which everyone has stated that, at least with the PLasma And LCD TV's, It is against the Electrical Code to run/fish a factory UL rated power cord through a wall.
I am somewhat new to the industry and am a little currious as to the actuall code and what the UL and CL stand for.
I know that a CL rated wire is safe to be fished but does all low voltage type Audio/Video Cables need to be CL rated also or does this rating only apply to high voltage lines. Like the power cord.
I have been installing Panamax Powerkits to get around this issue, running Romex wire through the wall.
I don't believe I need to have certified electricians to install these kits for me because the kit does not tie into the house electrical it merely extends the power cord.
