Re: ceiling fan with light

I don't have my code book sitting in front of me right now, and I also don't recall horse power for ceiling fans, but I imagine its low. Motors generally need a disconecting means located within 50 feet and in direct line of sight. The wall switch for a ceiling fan usually can be considered to satisfy the above mentioned.

Re: ceiling fan with light

Learned something new here. :)

I never would have put this together, the wall switch requirement with the remote.

Wayne you work around sounds like a good one, the remote works fine and if the remote is dead, broken, lost, or misplaced (remotes are never misplaced :D ) you still have an operational light.

If you had wired my sisters living room instead of me she would not have had to by a lamp when the receiver in her Hunter fan went sour. :D
