Vermont licensing question

Hi All,

Is an electrical license needed in vermont for residential work? Also, would my company be able to use third party installers in VT?

You could call the Vermont licensing board and ask. People in Vermont are usually very friendly

last I knew, the only person that needs to be licensed is the business owner or party to pull permits. I have not done electrical work in Vermont for 15 years so things may have changed. I tried to get this changed years ago but no one was interested in taking up the cause.

I believe you do need an Electrical License in Vermont. As stated, call the state licensing board.

Actually I think the law reads anyone can do electrical work if under the direct supervision of a licensed electrician.(bad law) but there are a lot of non licensed electricians working. I hope that has changed since I was there but not sure. If you are out of state you still a Vermont license holder.
