All of the AL SER cable I have purchased the past 10 years or so has been THHN/THWN. Previously it was always XHHW.Since it's THHN/THWN I'm assuming that it's copper?

Yeah I have seen both. The southwire spec sheet says:I was going to say it has always been XHHW but I bid a job last week and saw a box full of THHN SER 4/0 - 2/0. Mfd. 2022.
