I wondering the different methods of servce grounding at saw poes, that others may use. Here they make us drive a ground rod completely down, very difficult to remove, usually only with a back hoe

We drive two rods at a temp service, when we take the service down we cut the wire off the rod and leave them in the ground.

Re: saw poles

With the right tool they come right back out. I have a old tripod jack that I use a short choker cable and a wire griper that we use to pull up long drops with. It's made by Klein tools. We recover all our rod that way. But don't do many temps any more as we can get the power on the service turned on before the rough now.
