What is the NEC requirement for a demand factor in a residential main service load calculation for an RV receptacle (either 30A 120V or 50A 120/240V)? I looked all over the internet and couldn't find anything specific to this. Would the demand factor be 75%, 100% or some other figure? Where in the NEC would this be? It's pretty common for a homeowner to install one, either themselves or by an electrician, but I've yet to see anyone discuss the increased load on the main service.

I guess a related question would be, if a homeowner takes out a permit or an electrician installs one, would they be required to submit a load calc?

Thanks!

Although the table is in section VI for "RV Parks"; try table 551.73A but read the section closely

The demand factor for 1 RV site is 100%.

Art. 551 is what you want.
