If you installed a 20 ckt and there was a change to remove the ckt because the equipment was removed. What would the normal procedure be to remove the circuit......disconnect wire from breakert, pull wire all the way out or just to a box??? etc... Thanks.

Change the directory label for the circuit to SPARE, isolate (wirenut) the circuit conductors and install blank cover at the outlet.

Edit to add: Pull wire if in any type of in-floor raceway.

That happens? The what is done with the wire in the panel? What about the other end of the ckt.? How is it located in the future? Thanks.

The NEC does not 'show' you how to do that.

Below is one way. Label the wires.

Change the directory label for the circuit to SPARE, isolate (wirenut) the circuit conductors and install blank cover at the outlet.

Edit to add: Pull wire if in any type of in-floor raceway.

372.13 Discontinued Outlets. When an outlet is abandoned,
discontinued, or removed, the sections of circuit
conductors supplying the outlet shall be removed from the
raceway. No splices or reinsulated conductors, such as
would be the case of abandoned outlets on loop wiring,
shall be allowed in raceways.

Now who decides if it is discontinued? I say the property owner.

it's a change order.

That doesn't alter Petersonra's response it reinforces it! In case you didn't figure it out during the last change order discussion. Change orders are not cash machines. They inevitably cost you more than you think and never make as much money as they should. You charge them for everything you can. The more work you do, the more profit and overhead you can put in the change order. So, the more you can convince the customer to pay the better.
