The NEC says that receptacles need to be placed 6 ft. from each side of a door and 12 ft after that. But that's for a single family dwelling. Currently i am laying out receptacles for a school. Do I still need to follow this in order to meet the NEC code. I'd appreciate anyone's help on this.
