Read the exception to 300.3(B)(1) and then read 300.20(B)

In a parallel installation you should have each phase and the neutral in each pipe. It is necessary to cancel out the inductance created between the conductors.

The topic you are looking for is isolated phase installations. They are permitted, but there are a lot of conditions that affect how you do it. The main condition is that you cannot use ferrous raceway components of any kind, including steel locknuts on PVC male adapters.

For best results, each conduit should contain a full set of conductors, all phases, neutral, and EGC.
