Mylar vs. Epoxy

Various brands of busways have different design considerations. One most common is the insulator, my client was asking what significant characteristic (advantage) of mylar over epoxy.

Would appreciate very much any input.

Hopefully the information below will help:

Epoxy insulation is unique in the world of low-voltage busway.
Epoxy insulation has been in use with busway for the
past 30 years. When compared to PVC and Mylar, test
results show that epoxy has a significantly longer life (50
years), higher impact strength (150 lbs) and superior chemical
and water resistance. Epoxy is impervious to acids, alkalis,
acetones, machining oils and lubricants commonly found in
industrial environments.
Epoxy-coated busway tested for flammability were rated
self-extinguishing by UL laboratories. This is in contrast to
PVC, which emits poisonous fumes in a fire.

Yes i know but then, my problem is i will be the one who oferring the busway with mylar insulator, my competitor is using busway with epoxy insulator. I am thinking of on how to surpass the advantages of my competitor. The end-user is more particular on the insulator.

Thanks brad and don. The real situation is this. We are offering Square D Busways with mylar insulator, our competitors are using Siemens, BICC, GE and Henikwon. If the end-user will stick on epoxy insulator, we might be eliminated outright. Now our catalog doesnt give empasis on mylar advantage over epoxy. Now I should never hopeless coz I know there is a mikeholt which I can get advices from the experts like you guys to help me somehow.

I don't understand, if you don't feel you can sell the better product for a higher price, why not just quote apples to apples?
