Motor disconnecting means

I thought there was a 2002 code change requiring a lockable disconnect at every motor, with exceptions only for large ( >100HP ) motors.

I just re-read 430-102 but it doesn't appear to be true. There are still exceptions for the lockable disconnect to be out of sight 430-102(B)-(a) & (b).

Is there some other place where this is required or was I dreaming this? Or is it a proposed change?

Re: Motor disconnecting means

You are in the correct section. There are still execptions, but they are not as easily met as in the '99 code.
