mobile 480 power supply

We have some scissor lift tables that are 460 volts three phase. We want to make this table mobile. The problem that was brought up is that the extension cord or cable is only allowed to be a certain length. If any one knows the code for this problem please response. I also want to mention that it is going to be in rugged environment. In front of a lathe, press brake were sheets of metal are handled over head.

sfogle, there is no NEC length limit, it could be an OSHA requirement There are NEC requirements to use suitable cord for the conditions it is exposed to.

From your description and the fact you will have over 250 volts to ground I would get the toughest cord available and try to keep it of the floor.

Also you do not have to ask the same question more than once. ;)
