MCC's inside HVAC Rooms

Motor Control Center (MCC) for the AHUs is located inside the Mechanical Room, dose it violate the NEC ?????? or it shall be in adedicated enclosure or in electrical room. please advise.

I wouldn't think that the MCC's are considered service equipment so there should be no problem.

Actually I have seen this set up in the past as long as you have your working clearances.
