How do the rest of the electricians on this group deal with local code enforcement weirdness? In Frederick County Maryland for instance the AHJ used to require that the Equipment Grounding Conductor splices in each box be made up using non reversible connections such as crimp sleeves. I concluded that it was a misapplication of the rule against reversible splices in Grounding Electrode Conductors and since it did not cost any significant money to comply I used the crimp sleeves. I haven't worked up that way in a while so I don't know if they still require it but I have to admit to finding it annoying to have rules made up rather than adopted by enactment.
