Lightning Steike or Surge

What procedures do you use when checking a single family home after a lightning strike nearby or a power surge?

We will remove each individual branch circuit breakers to check the bus in the main breaker panel for damage.
Check the circuits where the damage occurred.
Megger the circuits where the electronics were damaged.

Any other recommendations?

Megger all circuits not just the ones the gizmos were toasted on. Also do continuity checks, a surge can damage connections.
