Lightning protection

We have a stack at our plant that is approximate. 500 feet high. It gets hit by lightning many times throughout the year. I was looking for information on grounding and lighting protection for the stack. Minimum requirements??

Take a look at the NFPA 780.

Perhaps the stack is currently providing lightning protection for the rest of the plant.

Its not really an NEC issue. There are some references in Art 250 abouth the lighning earth terminals and the building electrical grounding system.
