Good morning, in our facility bathrooms, behind the mirrors we have accent lighting consisting of Six one ballast one lamp fixtures.I suggested that I use One Three lamp ballast in one fixture, and use the other Two as slave removing the ballast and just using the can. The supervisor said that it cannot be done, because it would compromise and void the fixture UL rating.

The supervisor is most likely correct. Never know when those UL police will be hiding out in the facility

I agree but the only other out is what the AHJ may approve.
