Is there a code or rule about mounting a Lighting fixture directly to an Air Duct?
We're doing a school where the client wants to mount linear fluorescent fixtures directly to the underside of an air duct. The air duct is almost as wide as the main corridor and the vibration will reduce the life of the fluorescent light. We recommended to mount the lights on the walls. So we are trying to find code or rule that states the fixture can't be mounted to a Air Duct.
