Led HID retrofits

I’m thinking on retrofitting some walk packs 40 feet of the ground. They are 250watt HPS mogul base. I have been using green creative because my electrical supplier carries the brand but their 54watt led 3000k (Which says is a replacement for a 250watt HID) specifies not for horizontal mounting and I’m having a hard time finding something that will work. In part because I have not use other brands and also because the equivalent chart is different in other manufacturers. Some other brands say you need 80 watt or even 100 watt led to replace 250 watt HPS. What is your experience with retrofitting HID lighting?

This says multi directional mounting.

We did a cross reference of what we needed at Olympia lighting and replaced all our parking lot and lights on the side of the building with corn cobb style LED replacement lamps . We have only had one failure of these bulbs in over a year . We went thru ( www.Olympialighting.com )
