I am being told by the electricians in my area that they will have to cap the current gfci outlet that is located 6 feet from the hot tub. I thought that if the hot tub was installed within 10 feet of a dwelling that it only had to be a minimum of 5 feet away (read this in one of Mike's Books) due to restricted space. I want to point my electrician in the right direction but am having trouble finding the pertaining code in the nec. The outlet will be used for a towel warmer. Please advise. MN Abides to the 2014 NEC Code
