Don't worry Ryan! The worst thing that can happen is the hotel will lose power for the entire week, the roof will blow off, all your possession will be blown out the broken windows, a boat from the marina will wash in with the 15' storm surge and smash into your rent-a-car, and there will be no way to leave or travel home because all the airports will be closed. Not to mention the fact that some guy will be selling water on the corner for $10 a bottle. ;)

Besides, how many people can say they have been chased down, pulled over, frisked, and yelled out by National Guard soliders carrying machine guns for being out past curfew. It's an experience of a life time!

At least it's not the ray mating season on the gulf (spent a spring and summer near Clearwater). So the price of plywood jumps (for the windows) and that is not the same as the guy selling water for $10 a bottle. It's called profiteering and is illegal (supposedly) during disasters, but is the norm the rest of the time.

I guess if it's a large and politically friendly corporation it's not profiteering, just business as usual.
