Grounding vs bonding

I am not an expert on this subject.

We have 10 AC unit feeders in 10 1 ? conduits that go to a can and to the MSB in 2 ? 3 inch conduits. Each 1 ? conduit has a #8 ground wire. I don?t think 5 ground wires should go into each of the 3 inch conduits, but should the ground wire size increase? Is this considered bonding not grounding?
I'm so confused.

If these #8 conductors are equipment grounding conductors than you would only need one #8 in each of the 2-3" conduits. They could be spliced to the five feeder #8's coming into your junction box within the 1 1/4" conduits and leaving into it respective 3" conduit.
