I am asking about grounding for an emergency power system a generator is diesel powered and serves 2 disconnects one 1600 amp and one 1200 amp disconnects. i need to know if i can use the building grounding system for these remote disconnects. i will also have a ground at the remote location where the disconnects are located. This is for a health care clinic.

RFA, avoid using all caps. It appears that you are SHOUTING at us. :)

Normally, yes, see 250.30(A)(4).

Be sure to bond the grounded conductor to the grounding conductor at the generator per 250.30(A)(1). :)

This could introduce some question marks for me, what with the critical areas and emergency systems and whatnot.
