Whats the real difference between a Gfci ground fault circuit interuptor and a Gfpe Ground fault protection equipment

The trip point. The GFCI provides protection for people and has a trip point of ~5 mA. The GFPE is to prevent fires and equipment damage and has a trip point of 30 mA or more. GFP is to protect large 3 phase 480/277 volt equipment and can have a trip point of more than 1000 amps.
