Future expansion

Is there a NEC Reference that says when you build/wire a new home that you must plan in the panel, room for future circuits to be installed? If so, what is the NEC number?

Here is the reference:

2002 NEC 90.1(B) Adequacy. This Code contains provisions that are considered necessary for safety. Compliance therewith and proper maintenance will result in an installation that is essentially free from hazard but not necessarily efficient, convenient, or adequate for good service or future expansion of electrical use.

To the contrary. Read 90.1(B), particularly the last sentance of it.

Also read the fpn in the 2002. not requirement of course but good advice nevertheless.
