Enphase IQ8 microconverter connector orientation

To connect a string of IQ8 inverters enphase has a Q-Cable, the connectors are built into the cable.

There is no orientation built into the connector, allowing the user to connect it in two different orientations. It would seen that if orientation was important, like a simple ac wall plug/receptical has to ensure the hot and neutral are correctly aligned, the enphase micro/cable connectors would enforce that?

Am I correct that it doesn't matter which way I connect the micros to the cable?

It is not important. The inverter cannot tell the difference between L1 and L2 and doesn't need to. They are both ungrounded conductors.
