Enclosure rating - Class I Div I

Hello,
I have certain areas in plant, which are classified as Class I Div I and enclosures are rated for the same(NEMA7).Recently we found some dust issue and this area is now also classified as Class II Div I . As per NEMA rating, we have to use NEMA 7 for Class I Div I and NEMA 9 for Class II Div I .I assume NEMA 7 rating should be safe to handle Class II Div I as well ? Any comments on this or how I can be compliance for both.

Technically this is not necessarily true; the enclosure would also need to be rated NEMA 9 with specific certifications for the Class II materials involved.
That being said, many enclosures have both ratings.

In fact, NEMA 7 and 9 are only indoor ratings in themselves. Many enclosures also have other NEMA ratings that make them suitable for outdoor use.
