What does code say about placement of electric baseboard heaters in a single family residence? I am getting conflicting info on the subject.

A baseboard heater can be installed any where except in a shower or bathtub. They must be kept clear of receptacle outlets and cords.
The location for best heating efficiency is too check with a heating contractor. I usually installed them on outside walls, under the windows. Set them above the carpeting for good air flow.

Bennie, While we are addressing the subject, I installed a wall heater, 1000W, 18" from the side of a tub at the foot end; there was no other place in the bathroom to install a heater except for the ceiling. I couldn't find a specific code reference that governs that. Is there one?
