Re: Door Entry Chime

My buddy has one in his store that he bought from Radio Shack. It plugs in for power and lies under the throw-rug when you first walk in.
I've never looked at. I just jump on it a hundred times when I go in.

And if you don't like the under the mat thing there are IR beam systems made for this that provide a contact closure when someone walks through the beam. Light source and receiver on one side of the door, mirror on the opposite. Check your security systems equipment dealer or Rat Shack.

There are several types of switches that can be mounted to the door. These are good if the door is always closed and only opened when customers enter or leave.

I also have someone that has the sounder on the security system keypad set to sound when the door is opened. Costs nothing if it can be done.
