On a commercial site with a 120/208 800 amp MDP in a electrical room where the meter cans for all the suites will be also, I need to get power to the second floor suite (I'm the first one in) can I install in this order; 100 main breaker in the MDP then meter can to sub panel in the second floor suite, or, 100 main breaker to the meter then another 100amp disconnect after the meter then to the (suite).
I'm use to seeing meter and installing meter bank combo's.

Assuming you are talking about the electric utility's cash register, you need to talk to them about the overcurrent placement. I would assume you will only need one disconnecting means and it would be in the MDP. The electric utility is metering the feeder the unit you are feeding. :D

Yes I am refering to their pockets (meter wise), I looked in the NEC 230-1 shows a different configuration than what I'm about to install, It would be kind of senseless to have redundant disconnect means, but you never know.....
