In the past, "I had bosses tell me" Always bond the copper or brass water bib with the service. I wondered why because the entire rest of the house is cpvc. I asked my local inspector and he said it's not required. Why wouldn't you just bond it anyways? Water is a conductor. The inspector said there's not enough minerals in water to worry about bonding it. But what if lightning by some chance hit just the copper or brass water bib while you were showering or doing dishes. In theory, should we be bonding bibs?
