Looking at an engineered drawing for grounding/bonding two cabinets/racks. They call for a copper plate to be installed on the wall with #4awg to building steel. And from this copper plate on the wall a #6 awg to each cabinet.
They are calling this a supplementary ground.
In this room we are installing a 480v delta primary 120/208 sencondary 75 kva transformer that will feed 200mcb panel with isolated ground .Our GEC for the transformer will be to building steel.
My question is should the cabinets/rack grounding/bonding that they are asking for be bonded to my system? Or can this system they are asking for be left alone.
All the power for the equipment in the cabinets will have EGC install with the circuit and are located on the wall not on the rack.

Re: Computer racks grounding/bonding

It is bonded to your system through the building steel.

This would meet the NEC requirements and apparently meets the engineers requirements. :)
