Commercial hair dryer in a residence

Hello all...just a quick question. I have a customer who wants to put a commercial hair dryer in their home and the architect has spec for a 240v dryer. The style that they are looking for only gives me options of 208/230v. Can I hook up a 208/230v on a 240 line? This may seem like a stupid question, but before I get too far on proposal and bid, I want to make sure the 208/230v dryer will work in their house.

Yes. It is fine to hook up a 208/230V piece of equipment to a 240V circuit. The ratings on the equipment are nominal and aim for the middle ground of the of the supply voltage they will operate at.
