What is code as far as recptical placement for comercial buildings? I know that the 6 ft. rule applies to res. and the recpt. are calculated at 180va for my applaction but is their a footage rule?

Ceb, as far as generaly speaking, the NEC does not have a requirement. Although in certain buildings or facilities there may be requirements in the NEC articles or codes specific to them.
Hospitals are one example.
