single-family homes, accessory dwelling units (ADUs), duplexes
and townhomes of any height.
A heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Alteration is
any change to an existing home’s HVAC system that is regulated
by the 2022 Energy Code. An Addition is any change to a building
that increases conditioned floor area and conditioned volume.
