Solar code is note something I work with very much, but I have a question/scenario that I am dealing with. Sol-Ark 5k inverter with 2 Solar strings attached. Critical loads panel, (2) Fortress 5.4kw batteries, and generator. Wire size from inverter to back fed 30 amp breaker is #6 thhn, wire size from load breaker in inverter to critical loads panel is #6 thhe, wire from 50 amp generator breaker in inverter to generator 50 amp plug is #8thhn. Both grid breaker and load breaker in inverter are 63 amp I believe. Can I increase the back fed breaker in the main panel from a 30 to a 60?

My concern is charging of the batteries when solar production is limited, along with loads that are moving to the critical loads panel.

You can make the breaker as large as you want as long as the conductors are sized appropriately and you are compliant with 705.12.
