Article 400.8(2)

Is Article 400.8(2)applicable to a wireless transmitter for computers that is plugged into a receptacle below a dropped ceiling and the cord goes to the transmitter via a hole in the ceiling tile. The output of the transformer is 5 volts dc/2.5 amp. Thanks for any thoughts.

IMO:

Since this is a manufactured unit and we are talking about the LV side of the trans., I don't believe I would give it a second thought. If for some reason this seemed to present a fire or safety hazard, thenmaybe a word to the wise would work. Beyond that, I don't see it as being an electrical code violation.
