30A 240V FUSED SAFETY SWITCH

If the above switch is a 2 pole switch doesn't it have to be feed from a 2P breaker? I ask because it is showing it being fed from a 1P 20A breaker. Although, I do see in the description below it says there is an option for 3HP @ 240V 1phase. Can these switched be fed single phase? This is were I need a little wiring/theory insight.

There is no requirement to use both fuse holders. It can be fed from a 1 pole breaker.

Double pole and 240V single phase are the same thing. You are confusing 3? with single phase. Single phase can be 1-pole or 2-pole.
The switch is a 2-pole, but can be used with a single pole feed.
