Projected price for 2005 code book is $75.00.
The handbook is $115.00.

I recently purchased a 1953 edition for $50.00 that originally sold for $1.00.

Just think, the 2005 edition should be worth $3,750 in 50 years. Hang on to them ;)

Re: 2005 NEC

I received my NFPA mail yesterday and for members, the 2005 NEC is $58.50.
Did you notice the cover is a distinctive red color... is that for caution :p

I have copies going back to 1962, I wonder what they may be worth?

Re: 2005 NEC

I can ususally buy a NEC from CED for $35. They must buy 10,000 +. Often I will buy the electronic version and paper version together and get a better deal.
A 1953 NEC sold for $1.00?
Mike Holt has all the NECs back to 1923. Hang on to yours, Pierre.

Re: 2005 NEC

Actually Bob and Luke, I will get two. I will get one from the NFPA for being on a Code Making Panel and one from the IAEI for my continuing membership. That gives me one at work and one at home. Believe it or not, I use both. On top of that, I will purchase the NEC Handbook on CD-ROM. :D

Paul,

It says Sept. 1 for the Softcover NEC on the NFPA site.
The Handbook will probably be Jan.

BTW, Here is the initial (list) pricing that I heard:

NEC SoftBound $65.00
NEC Looseleaf $75.00
NEC CD-ROM $95.00
NEC Handbook $119.95
NEC Hbk CD-ROM $169.95
