What if I have a "Dead Front GFCI" inside the master bedroom (just outside the bathroom door), for a whirlpool in the master bathroom? Are there any provisions, regarding all outlets in bedrooms to be on AFCI, for that?

Re: Whirlpool Dead Front

A dead front GFCI is not an outlet. It cannot be used to take power from for the bedroom with out removing it. As for a bad design I would have put it in the bath room. Look at the definition of an outlet in article 100 of the NEC. and you will see what I mean.
