when entering the top of a outdoor pull box w/gal or alum.must you use a myers hub? Also if a outdoor motor terminal box has a 2 inch ko and your only using 1 inch what type of fitting should be used?

370-15(a) requires fittings equiped to prevent moisture from entering. In a pull box w/o bussing and the like, a sealing locknut would satisfy this requirement. However, as a general rule of thumb, when splices or other open connections are present in the box, a meyers hub should be required on the top of the enclosure, while sealing locknuts are suitable for side entry. The motor connection should be accomplished with a 2" meyers hub with the appropriate reducing bushing installed. Hope this helps.
