I have Genesis Shaftway Model consist of hoistway or shaftway model GLV 144. Its a enclosed vertical platform lift.

Following questions:

1. Would NEC 2014 Article 620.22 or 620.53 apply?
2. Would machine/control room or space be required? If yes then which code section.
3. Would NEC 2014 Article 620.71 apply?
4. Would NEC 2014 Article 620.24 apply?
5. Would the vertical lift motor disconnect be in machine/control room or space?

Just a comment, parts of articles are called sections, IE Section 250.66, not Article 250.99
Seems like you are asking us to do your work for you.
And in Washington, electricians can only work up to the elevator disconnect. We don't see many elevator questions here....

Elevator I thought post #1 is enclosed vertical lift with hoistway and pit. It comes with cab light and fan. I have two fused discos: fused disco #1 for cab light and fan and fused disco #2 for lift motor.

I am confused:

Nec 2014, 620.51(C)(4) disco #2 should be withing sight of bertical lift motor controller. It does not mention anything about machine/control space or room?

Nec 2014, 620.22 or 620.53 says to provide disco #1 in macine/control room space but not sure if they mean for platform lifts?

No takers. I am cofused does NEC 2014 Article 620 consider enclosed vertical platform lift as elevators or vertical platform?
