Inside the cardboard box the panel came in you should of gotten a plastic bag(it's usually stuffed behind the panel cover door) with the service disconnect stickers as well as the adhesive labels for labeling the breakers. These adhesive labels will go right over the breaker numbers. I usually remove the deadfront from the panel trim, put the adhesive labels on right up against the breaker knockouts over the numbers and then reattach the deadfront. At this point, part of the adhesive label will be behind the trim so you can see what available area you have left to write the circuit descriptions.
