Under Onyx counter top Lighting

I have a customer who is building a second home and in there home now they have Fiber optic lighting that goes under Neath there Onyx counter tops that makes the whole thing glow. Any one have experience with this?

Translucent Onyx is a real bad choice for a kitchen countertop or any countertop that has heavy use. It’s their house though...

fiber optic lights under Onyx?
Usually it’s back lit with led rope lights or led flat lights.
My brother has a backlit wall panel in his house.
It barely survived three kids.

We have done several restaurant projects with back lit onyx stone. My favorite was one that used 5-6"square panels. Each panel had leads to wire together. Then squares were cut with jig saw and table saw to exactly fit under stone. Very uniform lighting. No lines and very bright.
