Question: Does anyone know for what words the acronym UFER stands? It's in reference to 250.66.

Can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

Re: UFER

Wow! That was fast... thank you Roger.

There is no substitute for the truth backed by the whole story... Ufer is a person, not an acronym. Great story, too.

Re: UFER

Bob Ufer is a play by play guy for the Milwaukee Brewers. After humble beginnings he made it to the big leagues of Major League baseball. Bob went to Hollywood looking for fame and fortune which he found hawking Miller Lite beer on Americas televisions. He starred in such motion pictures as "Major League" with bad boy Charlie Sheen. His most beloved role was that of "George Owens" in TVs Mr Belvedere, a show about a suburban family with a rambunctious little boy, a hot teen daughter and a wacky British Butler, which could only add up to some crazy hi jinx. Today you can sit in the Bob Ufer seats at Milwaukees Miller Park where you will find that you are well grounded. :D

Re: UFER

No, no, no! You guys are all wrong! "Ufer" is from an old song...

"Tea for two, and two for tea...
"Me for you, and Ufer me..."

Re: UFER

Speaking of Milwaukee...

There was a major-league pitcher named Milt Famey. One year, he and his team made it to the World Series. They played well, and stuck in it until the seventh game was looming the next day, each team having won 3 games.

The other team, fearing Milt's incredible fast-ball, decided to stack the deck in their favor. Having heard about Milt's drinking problem, they set a couple of cases of Milwaukee's Finest at his motel-room door, knocked, and took off.

Sure enough, the next day, Milt's game was way off, and he practically walked the entire other team throughout the game. Later that day, celebrating their victory on the team bus, heading for the highway, the winners passed Milt's motel.

Seeing the empties stacked outside Milt's door, they cheering team all looked out the windows, pointed to the pile of cans, and said, "That's the beer that made Milt Famey walk us!"
