Xlx It is not a good idea to post phone# or e-mail address on a public forum as there are many e-mail harvesters out there and they will start spamming you big time, and also if someone who has a virus on there computer and comes to this web page it will get cached (or saved) on there hard drive this virus will find it and try to send a copy of the virus to your e-mail address and you could get it, this is how most virus are transfered. and it is never good to post your phone #. as you might get all kinds of weired calls.

And also the moderators will delete it anyway and warn you not to put it on there.

Also there is a function that allows us to send private messages on here anyway so if you want to give it out to someone then that's the way to do it. :p

You know, I've considered doing something like this to keep the sheetrock guys from filling the boxes with mud; the only problem is that they bury enough boxes as it is!

Bob
In NY State, other than dwellings, we are following the '99 NEC. For 1&2 family dwellings we are following the NYS Residential Code. In both references, the 'old' BX is not approved for equipment grounding purposes, but AC Cable is. Today we still hear the term 'BX' used in reference to AC Cable, so that may be a mixup that some are saying that 'BX' is approved in NY.

Try telling your class that 'BX' is no longer manufactured, and watch the stares that you will receive :D

Just for knowledge, if any NYers are following this thread, we will be referencing the '99 NEC until January of 2006, when we will then be referencing the 2002 NEC

Also, it will be fun to know, that our County will be referencing the 2002 NEC for testing purposes Jan of 2005, but still on the '99 for job enforcement
