Curious what the OP ended up doing on this
Update: using 2 powerwalls charged by solar. Also changed to net metering since Tesla/POCO said system will feed back to the line

They'll be on a cabinet twice as big as a regular traffic signal cabinet. We know they'll fit

He means a Powerwall, I'll wager.

My Tesla-owning friend just mentioned there's a new update to allow a Tesla automobile to backpower your PowerWall.
So you recharge the PowerWall, saving enough in the Model S to get to a Supercharger outside the blackout, recharge the car, go home & repeat.

Separately, I was told the PowerWall has "island" capability. If the grid is down, it can isolate and accept solar input to keep it charged.
I'm seeking a Fine Manual to confirm that.
