Base speed of an induction motor is based on number of poles the motor is wound with and the input frequency.

Your two motors are not designed the same because of the difference in base frequency they are designed to run on.

Even with two 60 Hz US designed motors you can have differences in amount of current each will draw because of differences in design that effect efficiency or power factor.
