A19 100 watt or A21 100 watt?
The A21s have a longer neck, most of the temp cages I see ask for A21s or even A23s if using 150 watt lamps.

Bob, we are using the long neck, and they are still getting hot. The company that makes the string is in Westfield, MA up in your area. The neck is usually the coolest part of the bulb, however you have to consider that the lamp is hanging down, so the heat rises. The instructions say Max 200 Watt "A" Lamp.
